I have created a Shared items Blog page which is now available. The list (which will be added to) can be viewed together as a group even though they are posted on different sites. Many are many by me, but, also including syndicates feeds (public blog postings) by others. RSS means "Really Simple Syndication" The text and pictures posted would be the same as on the original posts. The backgrounds and css formatting is striped from the pages during the outgoing feed process. This is the standard. Unlike many of my imported feeds that show title and a snippet from the site many of these will be full reposted feeds. In addition to my own feeds I will include some of my favorites and music artist that I have elected to promote. Sure it’s nice to write all the articles yourself, but the truth is …this all takes time. So, those who actively participate in their own promotion and do "Blogs" are easier groups to promote than those who only do bulletins. (hint, hint)
They are available as a page at http://www.google.com/reader/shared/04372968974259360733
To subscribe to the feed which will incorporate the wider collection of multiple blog entries at many different sites the RSS / Atom feed link is http://www.google.com/reader/public/atom/user/04372968974259360733/state/com.google/broadcast Sorry, no little orange button this time. (Just set it up today, okay) You must have a feed reader to use the second link. Any one who has upgraded to IE7 already have this feature built into their browser. This option is good because, If I put all my feed entries on this shared page then everyone will only have to subscribe to one page. Of course, I will have no way of knowing who you are, but that’s the breaks.
The listing is not in the order of the original posting. It will show up in the order that I save them to share files. Also, at the time I update any of the blog posts they will be updated on the share blog page. Likewise, I can re-share them and move the items back to the top page.
Other entries will be added. This first group that made the list are from my earlier Blogspot entries, which would show up on the last page. The entries will begin to show up like a single site rather than scattered every where. I will use a similar feature to bring everything together on my website so, I can continue to make post for different network communities and still have time to work on my stuff without forgetting about my friends.
I think the way Google pulled it together has a rather clean look. I am comparing the various applications in redesigning my website. So even though I will be real busy the next few months, I will be passing through here regularly and won’t be totally out of touch. There may be some delay in response time to personal questions though. I feel it’s better to be a little slow than a lotta wrong. So be kind and patient so I don’t pull out my hair. If you find a favorite amongst the different styles I am playing with leave a comment. I am somewhat open at this stage, since the rebuild is still very much in progress.
Right now it may seem like repeat topics, but the actual share page will begin to show newer entries real soon including my post here at myspace which you may have missed and have trouble finding because of the way the archives are set up. So hopefully it will help you find my older postings and code postings down the road. I will update this post when the other items are added..
I am going to try to put the code related questions last so they will show up closer to the top page this week.
There will be quite a few because I have posted about 200 posts at myspace alone. Each shared item in this format is done individually. It is NOT totally automated.
Now, the friends only posts will not show up on this feed. Those that were made for myspace friends specifically will be available only here unless I post an edited version for public post in addition to the original. Don’t worry, I won’t delete content just so I can put the topic on public feed.
The postings show the original source and there are links to the original pages. Some of the topics may look very much alike. But when I post at different sites I sometimes put different text depending on whether the network focus is about art, or images, or whatever the themed slant is at that blog. So sometimes there may be the same pictures with different text.
Perhaps you will get a better idea of all that I’ve been up to and now understand why I don’t have time to post comments or do im with everyone. I sill have to have time to do business, art, domestic stuff and play games. Did I say play? I meant review games.(cough)
